Youth Art Submission
Chopsticks Alley Art is now accepting Youth Artist Submissions for our annual Youth Exhibition in the Fall of 2024. This submission call is open exclusively to youth artists (14-18 years old) residing or studying in the Bay Area and needs parent or guardian approval.
The theme for this Youth Art Exhibition is "Under One Moon."
The Moon transcends physical and cultural barriers, carrying whispers of memories, dreams, and shared moments. This theme encourages you to explore the dance between humanity and our environment and celebrate the interconnected beauty that unites us all under the moon's embrace. Express the feelings, connections, and vibrant energy this theme ignites in you.

Just as the moon influences water and tides, shaping our connection to the Earth, for this year's theme, we invite you to explore the significance of water as our life source and its role in cultural traditions. Through your artwork, illuminate the intimate relationship between water and the moon. Draw inspiration from Asian Mid-Autumn Moon Festival folklore and myths, weaving personal narratives and iconic characters from diverse cultural backgrounds into your interpretation.
Submission Guidelines:

Submit a 2D visual piece to share how you interpret "Under One Moon."

Artworks cannot exceed 30” x 30.”

Artist can submit up to three artworks.

Submission deadline: August 1, 2024.

Artists will be notified by August 15, 2024.

Selected artists will exhibit their work in a dedicated exhibition at Chopsticks Alley Art Gallery from October 4, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

Artwork must be delivered, ready to be hung, and exhibited by September 8, 2024.
