Dear Friends, Artists, Supporters, and Community,

On behalf of the Board of Directors of Chopsticks Alley Art, I want to share an important milestone in our organization's journey.

After almost a decade of visionary leadership, our Founder and Executive Artistic Director, Trami Cron, has shared her intention to transition out of her leadership role. While this marks the beginning of a new chapter, it is also an opportunity to celebrate the extraordinary impact she has had on our organization, our artists, and the Asian Pacific Islander community.

Trami founded Chopsticks Alley Art with a simple yet powerful belief: that art can create connection, preserve culture, and inspire belonging. What began as a small idea shared with a dedicated group of Founding Board Members has grown into one of San José's leading cultural organizations. Through her creativity, courage, and unwavering dedication, Trami helped transform that vision into a vibrant gallery, educational center, and community gathering place where thousands of artists, students, families, and visitors have found opportunities to create, share, and connect.

Her leadership has always extended beyond exhibitions and programs. Trami has championed emerging artists, elevated underrepresented voices, preserved Southeast Asian cultural heritage, and built meaningful partnerships across the region. She has approached every decision with compassion, generosity, and a deep commitment to ensuring that the Asian Pacific Islander community is seen, celebrated, and supported through the arts.

Under Trami's leadership, Chopsticks Alley Art has become more than an arts organization—it has become a home for artists, storytellers, and community members to celebrate culture, build understanding, connect generations, and inspire future generations. Her vision has helped shape a stronger, more connected community where creativity is a catalyst for belonging and social change.

The Board is profoundly grateful for Trami's vision, perseverance, and countless hours of service. Her legacy is reflected not only in the organization she helped build, but also in the many artists she has mentored, the partnerships she has cultivated, and the lives she has touched.

As we celebrate Trami's remarkable legacy, we also look ahead with optimism. In the coming months, our Board of Directors will begin the search for a new Executive Director who will build upon the extraordinary work that Trami and so many others have invested in Chopsticks Alley Art. We believe the future is brighter than ever for our organization.

As Board Chair, I want to assure you that our mission remains as strong as ever. We will continue changing culture through art, building strength in community, and telling the Asian and Pacific Islander stories that are so critical to our collective future. These values have guided Chopsticks Alley Art from the beginning, and they will continue to guide us in the years ahead.
