San José is more than a city—it is a living, breathing mosaic of cultures, stories, and dreams. The Spirit of San José invites visual artists to share their unique perspectives on their daily lives, personal journeys, and creative visions that shape their artistic paths and reflect this vibrant city.

​

Through this digital marquee exhibition, we celebrate the resilience, joy, and diversity that define San José’s artistic community. From the rhythm of neighborhood life to moments of quiet inspiration, the selected works will offer a window into the heart of San José, amplifying the voices of those who live, work, and create here.

The two central themes guiding the exhibitions are cultural and community Connections, which honor the deep-rooted heritage, shared experiences, and rich cultural expressions that thrive in our city, and Future of San José, a call to imagine what San José can become through the lens of artistic innovation, hope, and collective vision.

 

Invited artists reflect the San José community—its diversity, resilience, and creative spirit. This exhibition uplifts those who have long contributed to the city’s cultural landscape but have often gone unseen.

In addition to the digital marquee exhibition, a concurrent physical exhibition, opening on October 5, 2025, will be held at Chopsticks Alley Art Gallery, in the heart of downtown San Jose. By bringing art into both public and gallery spaces, we invite the community to pause, reflect, and see San José through the eyes of its artists.

To further highlight and feature selected artists and Chopsticks Alley Art, Team San Jose also spotlighted our artists on the City of San Jose's Official Website and advertisements outside of San Jose.
