About Us

Chopsticks Alley Art (CAA) is a community-rooted nonprofit dedicated to supporting, celebrating, and amplifying Southeast Asian voices through the arts. We believe storytelling has the power to heal, connect, and inspire, and we create spaces where Asian artists, cultural workers, and communities can thrive.

The Opportunity

We’re seeking a passionate, committed, and creative individual to join our Board of Directors. This leadership role is perfect for someone who believes in the transformative power of the arts and is dedicated to elevating Asian narratives. As a board member, you’ll help shape our future, strengthen our impact, and champion the stories of our artists.

What You’ll Do

• Champion CAA’s mission to uplift Asian voices through the arts

• Collaborate on strategy, programming, and community engagement initiatives

• Support the creation of culturally resonant events and content

• Help organize and share visual assets for outreach and storytelling

• Serve as an ambassador for CAA, building relationships and advocating for our work

• Attend quarterly board meetings and key events

  
  

What We’re Looking For

• A deep passion for the arts, culture, and storytelling—especially Asian American and Asian diasporic perspectives

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Experience or interest in creative strategy, content creation, or community engagement

• Familiarity with social media and digital outreach

• Ability to work collaboratively in a diverse, inclusive environment
  

Commitment

• Time: 5–10 hours per month (board meetings, events, planning)

• Financial: $100 annual donation
